MOOG MF-101 MOOGERFOOGER
ANALOGUE LOW-PASS FILTER EFFECTS PROCESSOR FOR GUITAR / BASS / SYNTHESIZER
The Moog MF-101 Moogerfooger Low Pass Filter is a direct descendant of Bob Moog's original Moog synths!
The Moog MF-101 Moogerfooger Low Pass Filter contains 2 complete modular functions: a voltage-controlled lowpass filter and an envelope follower. Use with any instrument, guitar or bass guitar, or line-level signal, and the Moog MF-101 Moogerfooger Low Pass Filter is ready to be tweaked for classic Moog filter guitar effects.
Sweep the filter with the CUTOFF knob. Or use the ENVELOPE section to do it automatically. Or plug in one or more expression pedals or control voltages to do it. Or do all three. The Moog MF-101 Moogerfooger is the best-sounding, most playable filter you can have.
A Lowpass Filter is a filter that allows all frequencies up to a certain frequency to pass, and cuts off frequencies above that. That frequency is called the cutoff frequency of the filter. A lowpass filter removes the high frequencies from a tone. It makes the tone more mellow or muted. The lower the cutoff, the more muted the tone sounds.
An envelope follower tracks the loudness contour (envelope) of a sound, and produces a voltage that follows the dynamics of your playing. Every time you play a note, the envelope voltage goes up and then down. The harder you play, the higher the envelope voltage goes.
